Reptile Parties is a fun, affordable, and informative form of entertainment! Reptile Parties has received rave reviews from kids and adults alike! Voted as the top choice for “Best Birthday Party Entertainment” in 2011, and with “Honorable Mention” in the 2010 Parent’s Choice awards, presented by Calgary’s Child Magazine, we are now excited to be operating in Edmonton!

Reptile Parties are structured to appeal to different age groups from preschool to high school. Kids meet up close cold-blooded animals such as friendly bearded dragons, colorful geckos and chameleons, giant monitor lizards, incredible pythons and corn snakes, and even tarantulas and scorpions. We have dozens of exotic pets available so each party is different! Some reptiles may not be available at certain times dues to breeding, shedding, or preventing stress to ensure best quality. Parties for children 7 and under focus more on basic reptile information while events for older children combine the unique opportunity to see reptiles up close with education, including proper care and husbandry as well as information about conservation.

Jason Clevett – Owner:A long time reptile enthusiast, Jason launched Calgary Reptile Parties in 2008. He has done presentations for schools, scout groups,  corporate events, and birthday parties and more. He has appeared at festivals and events throughout Alberta.. Jason has often appeared on Calgary TV and Radio including CityTV’s Breakfast Television, Global Saturday Morning, Forbes and Friends on CJAY92 and The Homestretch on CBC radio. Jason is the former President of the Alberta Reptile and Amphibian Society, a non-profit organization that promotes education and produces two shows and sales annually. Jason has also donated his time to the Calgary Zoo as a volunteer assistant gorilla keeper, working with the gorilla troop as well as colobus monkeys, dwarf crocodiles and has worked with Pebbles, the massive African Rock Python and has completed the zoo’s Naturalist 101 and Docent Training courses. He continues to work hard towards his goal of expanding reptile education through reptile parties throughout Alberta and is excited to have Alberta Reptile Parties and Edmonton Reptile Parties now available!

• Rev the Common Boa Constrictor – Rev is an awesome 5year old boa and really friendly. He is an educational animal and his job is to go to different shows, displays and parties so people can experience a larger snake. When he was bought 3 years ago he was not a happy camper. He wasn’t handled enough so he was scared of people and would show signs of aggression. He was shown by his owner Karen through patience and gentle handling that people were not a bad thing. He tamed down and has now been doing educational displays for 3 years. He is played with by kids and does lots of pictures with people and is now one of the sweetest snakes you will ever meet.
• Splat the Crested Gecko – Splat is a very cool little crested gecko. She is full grown and just under 3 years old. Some crested geckos can get very nervous when being transported and held to much but not Splat! She loves to be played with and pet and meet new people, usually by jumping on them. She got her name from her love of jumping – when she lands its like she goes SPLAT! She is a little different from your regular crestie as she has one big eye and one small eye. This doesn’t seem to affect her in any way and she is as cute as ever.
• Serenity The Woma Python – Serenity is a very interesting snake, this Australian girl is very smart and has a wonderful personality. She loves to hang out with you and just chill and watch everything that you do. When you hold her its like holding a limp noodle. She has a cool look to her with her stripe body and orange head and she looks like she is wearing sunglasses.
• Nitro The Bearded Dragon – Nitro is a cool but smaller size adult bearded dragon. He was rescued along with 3 of his siblings from a home where they were not looked after properly. His brothers and sister were adopted to new homes and he was kept. He is smaller than he should be and missing half his tail but enjoys life and people regardless. He loves bugs and salad and even chases laser lights on the floor.
• Speedy the Sulcata – One of our most popular reptile friends, Speedy the Sulcata is 12 years old and still has a lot of growing to do! Find out what some of the cute little baby tortoises you see for sale may remain cute but definitely not little!

• Reptile Party – $135 – The full party, running approximately 1 hour and featuring 6 – 8 reptiles. Includes Q&A, educational presentation and the opportunity to pet and interact with animals.
• VIP Package – $165 – The VIP package really makes the birthday boy or girl feel special as they get to hold a reptile of their choice! Package includes a photo set (1 8×10 and 2 5×9 photos) and a one-of-a-kind t-shirt of the birthday child holding a reptile!
  
  * Gratuities are accepted and appreciated. Prices for birthday parties are for groups of 10 or under. Please add $3 for each additional child if the group exceeds 10. This charge does not apply to organizations and schools.
